The taste of the coffee was very bitter and smelled horrible. Though the capsule concept is more convenient the product quality has to deliver and this does not at all meet expectations. The flavor was ‘off’ and tasted under-roasted and foul.

This is an excellent coffee but unlike Amazon’s usual great service whoever they use to fulfill the coffee orders is terrible. I ordered several boxes of this coffee from Amazon but they were shipped to me just thrown in a box. Anywhere from one-quarter to one-half of the cups were damaged and unusable. Worse yet Amazon won’t take a return since it is a food item.
In summary, buy this coffee, just not from Amazon.

I’ve tried just about every extra bold K cup available and this by far is my favorite. The rich syrupy flavor is just right, has no aftertaste (not sure what the one person who said there was an aftertaste was drinking but it must not have been this coffee) and is drinkable on a daily basis (not too over the top for everyday).

I’ve been going through many k cups, primarily bold, for some time. After finding a couple that I like, I ran across Sumatran Reserve… WOW! This is what I was looking for. Great, bold flavor, but without the bitterness. This one ranks my favorite k cup.
