This is a high quality coffee particularly well suit for bold coffee drinkers. The taste is strong and flavorful, but with no bitterness. I generally a morning coffee drinker since afternoon coffee upsets my stomach. However, I can tolerate Newman's coffee in the afternoon, because of its well balanced favor and acidity. Great value in the 80 K-Cup package.

This is a Staple in our Home, November 16, 2009

JagGirl (San Diego, CA) -

We've tried many of the brands & flavors out there for the Keurig System K-cups. This is the one that we absolutely MUST keep on hand. It's our favorite coffee to wake up with in the morning. Tastes wonderful, full-bodied and strong enough without being bitter. It does it for us!

I loved the Blonde coconut sugar right off the bat as I don't love using traditional white sugar and have never been a huge cane or date sugar fan. This version of the coconut sugar is recommended to replace brown sugar. By looks, I didn't see a great difference between the blonde and regular. The regular did taste a bit richer. Also, the texture of this sugar is quite different ~ it is dryer, not sticky like traditional brown sugar.

Altough we don't use a lot of white sugar, we do love brown sugar for our oatmeal and little bits added to pies and desserts. I wasn't sure how our 4-yr old would take to a change in her often requested oatmeal, but surprisingly she loved it and didn't mind at all! I am impressed!

Overall, I am happy to come across a sustainable, organic alternative to common sugars!

I have really enjoyed using this coconut sugar. I used it when baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and the flavor and texture were great. You substitute 1 to 1 and it has a sweet flavor. My kids love the flavor which is only slightly different from sugar. It's worth switching for the health benefits and is easier to bake with than agave.

Interchangeable with sugar when baking, October 11, 2011

I wasn't totally sure what to expect when I received my coconut sugar. What I did receive was two bags of sugar, one labeled "blonde". Both sugars were caramel in color with the blonde being a little lighter. The smell and taste was very similar to brown sugar, however the texture was dryer. The granules were not a consistent size as with cane sugar. No "coconut" taste whatsoever.

I wanted to bake with this sugar to see if it was interchangeable with cane sugar. Coconut sugar is supposed to be less calories and have a lower glycemic level compared to cane sugar. As I understand glycemic levels, the lower the level, the easier it is for your body to metabolize, thus not creating that "sugar crash".

To compare to cane sugar, I used a 1:1 ratio as suggested by the company. I ate it raw on cinnamon toast (blonde), and made pancakes (blonde) and Toll House cookies with it (both blonde and regular). For the most part I found it to be completely interchangeable with cane sugar in recipes. I noticed that the granules left "freckles" of sugar and didn't completely blend in, however, texture and taste was very close to cane sugar. If health reasons have you making the switch, this is a great option!

I was excited to try this white sugar alternative. At first, I was worried it would add a coconut flavor but it turns out that it doesn't add any coconut flavor at all. I used this in a classic chocolate chip recipe and our cookies turned out great! The granuals are quite a bit chunkier than a fine baking sugar, but I noticed they melted rather quickly in contact with moisture. Overall, this product is organic, sustainable, and healthier than traditional sugar - plus the price is really good. I'm glad I tried it.

I have really enjoyed using this coconut sugar. I used it when baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and the flavor and texture were great. I've tried substituting agave in cookies and the texture suffers so I am pleased to have a healthier sugar alternative. I cannot (and more importantly, the kids cannot) detect any flavor difference. It's worth switching to Madhava!

I love flavored K-Cups and was so excited to see a variety package offered on K-cups because I just couldnt decide between pumpkin spice, chocolate donut, cinnamon pecan, butter toffee and vanilla cupcake!!
So when the 24 count variety pack was offered I was excited to get a small sampling of everything.
It arrived today with only 23 cups, and like 3 or 4 of the same flavors, and not good ones!!
4 Blueberry mountains(yuck) 3 irish cream blah!
I guess I should have realized this could happen but still wish I had gotten at least 15 different flavors and ones I wanted try and that.
Buyer beware.
